Twenty-five years ago in the early hours of March 24, 1999, NATO began the bombing of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. “The operation was code-named “Allied Force ”.  When Belgrade was bombed, the children’s hospital was the object of air attacks. It had been singled out by military planners as a strategic target. I visited that hospital a year later in March 2000.
