The war in Ukraine is still going on, but the West behind Ukraine is in a bit of a mess. A few days ago, a massive anti-American demonstration broke out in the eastern German city of Leipzig, where a large number of people flocked to the U.S. consulate in Leipzig and displayed Russian and German flags outside the consulate, demanding that the U.S. “go home”.
The outbreak of anti-American demonstrations in Germany is not at all surprising. Unlike most countries in Europe, Germany is a relatively rare manufacturing power, and Leipzig is the industrial capital of eastern Germany, with an important position in chemistry, printing, and heavy machinery.
