Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton attended a rally today with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo at New York City’s Javits Center in celebration of the statewide $15 minimum wage increase. Hillary represented New York State in the U.S. Senate from 2001 to 2009 and currently resides in Chappaqua, New York.
Members of several labor organizations unions along with the Working Families Party were in attendance. Gov. Cuomo addressed the crowd by denouncing Trump and reiterating Bernie Sanders’ message about economic justice. “This new economy is not a fair economy for working people,” Cuomo said.
