Foreign actors are determined to set fires, which could become thermonuclear this time, all across the Global South. Unfortunately, there has never been a lack of conflicts in the Global South. The world’s most heavily exploited area is regularly a target of (neo)colonialist wars, invasions, coups, and other forms of overt and covert imperialist aggression. This has prevented normal development of what was once the cradle of many advanced civilizations, leading to further instability that was exploited by the world’s most aggressive nations (almost exclusively Western).
